The Proof Is In Our Products
Pon KING PRO
From first contact, ordering and picking up our new Pond King Pro the service, communication and delivery was great. The boat is very well made and everything down to the smallest details are very nice. The welds are strong and they look nice adding to the good looks of the boat. The folks that work there are more like a family than just employees. They take great pride in their work and the product. We are very happy and highly recommend them.
Dear Sam & Leslie - It has truly been a pleasure working with you! We are so blessed to have such great customers! It feels like family to us, too! All the best! And thank you for the very nice review. Sincerely, Jill, Mark, Chance, Veronica, and the rest of the gang at Pond King!
POND king Pro
Picked up my new Pond King Pro last month. I had researched the quality and workmanship of Pond King pontoons through many reviews. Because of all the positive reviews I decided to go with their product. I custom ordered my pontoon through the Pond King website. After I placed my ordered they called and discussed my order with me. They were extremely helpful in suggesting some changes on my pontoon. Upon arriving home and a quick trip to the lake. It made me even happier than I thought I would be. The King King Pro is absolutely the perfect fishing boat for rivers, ponds and small lakes. The only mistake that I made was......I should have had one of these years ago. You can not go wrong with the quality and comfort of Pond King products.
I'm so glad that the Pro is living up to your expectations! Thanks for the feedback! Did you hear about our photo contest? You should check it out (you'll have to copy and paste the link): https://pondking.com/pages/pond-king-photo-contest?_pos=1&_sid=f5c350271&_ss=r
The ideal small pontoon boat for small families and larger lakes
The Pond King Pro is constructed with welded aluminum subframes, heavy gauge pontoons and a 65-square foot aluminum deck. The Pro was specifically designed to take on the larger lakes, yet still be easy to launch and load down at the pond. Like all of our small pontoon boats, the all-aluminum design is incredibly easy to maintain so you won't need to spend time tarping or storing this pontoon boat. The Pro is the ideal boat for fishing larger lakes with a buddy and for fishing the backyard pond with your young family.
Comparing the Pond King Pro to a V-hull boat
If you are comparing the Pond King Pro, or any of the Pond King Small Pontoons with a V-hull boat, here are a few things to keep in mind:
- If you are planning on regularly fishing with a friend, the pontoon boat will offer you a lot more stability.
- The pontoon boats have a smaller draft, allowing you to get into shallower waters.
- Unlike a V-hull, the pontoons minimize the wakes that could startle fish away.
All-aluminum, easy to maintain, easy to transport.
Ultimately, you need to think about the type of water you'll be on and the number of people you want to take with you, but the Pond King Pro is a great two-man fishing pontoon for bigger ponds and lakes. Or, you can opt to add 2 more seats and have the perfect starter boat for your young family. Either way, this boat is super easy to haul and maneuver.

All of Pond King's pontoon boats are made to order, right here at our facility in Gainesville. Once we receive your order, we'll get started building your boat but production time will depend on when you place your order. (If you are ordering between March and June, call for an estimated delivery time.) COVID-19 UPDATE: Some of our lead times have been impacted by COVID-19. Please call to get an estimated ship date before placing your order.
Do Pond King Small Pontoon Boats require much maintenance?
All the Pond King pontoon boats are designed to be low maintenance with welded aluminum subframes, heavy gauge pontoons, and stainless steel hardware. Unlike a V-hull or Jon-boat, Pond King pontoon boats don’t require constant tarping or need to be bailed out after a storm. Once delivered, your Pond King pontoon boat can pretty much stay in the water.
What are the decking materials?
The decking on the Lil’ Cruiser is made of premium-carpeted, marine grade plywood. The decking on all of our other pontoon boats is made of custom extruded, tongue-in-groove aluminum planks with a skid-resistant powder-coating. The decks of our pontoon boats stay cool and aren’t slippery when wet, plus they'll last a lifetime.
Why do all the Pond King Small Pontoon Boats only have two pontoons?
At Pond King, we manufacture our boats, start to finish, right here at our facility in Gainesville, Texas, and that includes the pontoons. We roll our pontoons to our own specifications from 0.080” marine-grade 5052 aluminum. By adjusting the diameter to length ratio, we can create the appropriate buoyancy for each of our boats - so they only need two pontoons. If you check out our mini pontoon boats, you'll see that some of our boats actually have 4 pontoons - but they are configured to act the same way our 2 pontoon system works.
Is there a reason for the cone shape on the front of the pontoon?
You bet. The cone shape on the front of the pontoon improves the boats steer-ability. We’ve specifically designed the pitch of our cones to keep the nose up – when you are speeding up or slowing down – and to facilitate maneuverability in the water, so the front end slices through the water.
Are Pond King Small Pontoon Boat frames welded or bolted together?
Pond King's small pontoon boats are known for their stability, especially as it relates to their size. Welding our frames together, versus bolting, provides a very high level of torsional stability at the joints which contributes to the overall stability of the craft.
How are the frames attached to the pontoons on the Pond King Small Pontoon Boats?
Unlike bolts, welds don’t work loose over time. That’s why at Pond King we weld the deck frames to brackets, which are then welded to the pontoons, contributing to the boat’s stability and longevity.
How can I pay for my boat?
We prefer you pay with a good-old-fashioned check, but we also accept credit cards and financing is available for Texas residents. Because all of our boats are built to order, we require a $1,000 deposit before we start construction. The balance is due either prior to shipping or at the time of delivery. If you are picking your boat up, or we are delivering it, we'll require the balance when you take possession of the boat. If you need to cancel your order prior to delivery, we'll refund your deposit minus a 5% administration fee.
Is a trailer included with my Pond King Small Pontoon Boat?
Most of our customers have us put their boat on the water, and that's where it stays, so trailers don't come standard, although we do have ShoreLand’r Trailers available for all models, except the Rebel. The Rebel Mini Pontoon was actually designed to be transported in the bed of a standard sized pickup truck so you won't need a trailer. For all the other boats, if you’re planning on hauling, you’ll need a trailer.
What outboard shaft length do the small pontoon boats require?
A short shaft outboard will work on the Sport model, but if you're getting the Pro model or larger, you'll need a long shaft outboard.
Where can I find a detailed schematic of the different seating arrangements?
We've just recently been getting questions about the distance between the seats on many of our boats. We're working on getting these schematics drawn for each of our boats and as we get them done, we'll add them here.
What is the “Turn Around Guarantee?”
If you’re not satisfied with your pontoon boat at delivery, we’ll “turn around,” bring the boat back to Gainesville, and refund the entire amount you've paid - minus the delivery fee.
