Frequently Asked Questions

Is the dock shown to scale?

Yes. The platform and walkway are drawn using their actual dimensions, so you can compare their footprint on your pond.

Where should I place the walkway?

Position the shore end where you expect to access the dock, then point it toward the water. Consider your pond’s normal water level and seasonal fluctuations. We usually mount the dock bases about 1-2' back from your normal full pool level.

Does this tell me which walkway length I need?

This tool is to help you compare lengths visually. Shoreline slope, water depth, and changing water levels also affect the best choice. In our experience, when in doubt, go longer!

What if my pond doesn’t appear on the map?

Google’s aerial imagery may not show recently constructed ponds or current water levels. Contact us for help planning your dock.

Can Pond King install my dock?

We offer dock installation in Texas and Oklahoma. Contact us to discuss your location and project.
