Surface acreage is the amount of surface area your pond covers. One acre equals 43,560 square feet. Pond surface acreage is commonly used when determining fish stocking rates, planning fish habitat, selecting aeration equipment, and making pond management decisions.
Does the calculator measure pond depth or water volume?
No. This tool estimates the surface acreage of your pond based on its shoreline. It does not measure depth or calculate total water volume. For some pond management decisions, average depth or total water volume may also be needed.
