Electric Pontoon Boats
Electric pontoon boats—also known as EV pontoons—offer a smarter, quieter way to enjoy the water. Whether you're fishing your private pond, cruising a no-wake lake, or outfitting a property for guests, these battery-powered boats deliver reliable performance without the noise, fumes, or maintenance of traditional gas engines.
At Pond King, our electric-ready pontoon boats are designed for simplicity, durability, and real-world use—so you can spend more time on the water and less time worrying about upkeep.
As more lakes and communities across the country begin restricting or fully banning gas-powered outboards, electric boats are quickly becoming the preferred solution.
Electric pontoons allow you to access waters where traditional motors aren’t permitted—without sacrificing time on the water. Whether it’s due to noise regulations, environmental concerns, or shoreline preservation, the trend is clear: electric boating is growing fast, and it’s here to stay.
For pond owners, private lakes, and no-wake zones, going electric isn’t just an option—it’s often the best (and sometimes only) way to get on the water.
Designed and perfect for lakes where gas motors are prohibited or limited.
Electric outboards mean no fuel mixing, no winterizing, and minimal mechanical wear.
We weld every frame, deck, and pontoon so your boat lasts for decades — not seasons.
Comfort-forward layouts, smooth handling, and stable decks keep everyone happy.
A popular choice for smaller pontoon boats and simple setups, offering 3–5 HP equivalent electric performance in a lightweight, portable package. With integrated lithium battery options, an ultra-quiet direct drive system, and a built-in display showing speed, battery level, and range, they deliver efficient and user-friendly operation on the water.
For larger pontoons or those wanting a more traditional helm experience, the Tohatsu Alaris electric outboard is a powerful next step. It delivers 6.0 kW of output (comparable to a 9.9 HP gas engine) and is designed for remote steering or console-controlled setups, with integrated power tilt and trim, built-in GPS and digital display, and compatibility with multiple battery types including lithium.
Known for its proven reliability and ease of use, making them a go-to choice for a wide range of boaters. Available with i-Pilot GPS features like spot-lock, autopilot, and cruise control, giving you excellent boat control on the water. With a strong balance of performance and value, it’s an ideal option for both serious anglers and casual users alike.
A premium trolling motor featuring a brushless design for maximum efficiency and ultra-quiet operation. It offers industry-leading GPS anchoring accuracy, along with a wireless foot pedal and seamless integration with Garmin electronics—making it a top choice for serious anglers who want precise control on the water.
The battery system is the heart of your electric pontoon, and for most applications, we recommend ProGuide Lithium batteries. They offer a longer lifespan (typically 8–10 years), are significantly lighter than lead-acid options, charge faster, and provide consistent voltage for better overall motor performance.
AGM and traditional lead-acid batteries are a dependable and cost-effective power option for electric pontoons. They provide reliable, steady power for a variety of on-the-water uses and are widely available, making them easy to source and replace. These batteries are a proven solution for boaters looking for a simple, straightforward, and budget-friendly setup.
I cannot say enough good things about this company. Everything went as planned from day 1 of the order to delivery in St. Louis, MO. They make the process easy and build was completed ahead of schedule. This is the boat that I was looking for to get out on smaller lakes in an all electric boat community. The quality and attention to detail was spot on and my family 4,6,15 year olds are having a blast, fishing, swimming and spending the day on the boat. I would highly recommend this company for anyone looking for a custom build with superior quality.
I have had my Pond King Pro for almost a year. It is simply the best. No matter where I go fishing people "love it" and want to know where I got it. I could not be happier. Good buying experience. Highly recommend, but get ready for boat envy from everyone else!
Happy in Wisconsin on my brand new Pond King Ultra!! Thank you to everybody at Pond King. Everything from order through fabrication and coordination, updates and delivery went very very smoothly. Could not have been easier. I am very pleased.
All the Pond King pontoon boats are designed to be low maintenance with welded aluminum subframes, heavy gauge pontoons, and stainless steel hardware. Unlike a V-hull or Jon-boat, Pond King pontoon boats don't require constant tarping or need to be bailed out after a storm. Once delivered, your Pond King pontoon boat can pretty much stay in the water. You just have to make sure to keep your battery charged!
Torqeedo Travel tiller motors are best for small pontoons; Tohatsu Alaris electric outboards are best for larger, console-driven boats; Trolling Motors are best for fishing and low-speed use
The speed of the boat will vary greatly on conditions and load of the boat, but on average, most trolling motor setups will go about 3-6mph; Torqeedo travel, about 5-6 mph and Tohatsu Alaris, about 10-12 mph
Runtimes will vary depending on weather conditions and boat load, but you can expect 2-4 hours at higher speeds and 6-12+ hours at low, cruising speeds.
They are ideal. Electric motors are extremely quiet, making them perfect for fishing.
