Floating Docks Built from Scratch and Made to Last
Our Deluxe Steel-Framed Floating Docks are custom built to order using Galvanized 12-gauge steel with 14-gauge C-Purlin bracing on 16” centers and use some of the densest composite decking you can find on the market today to prevent fading and cracking. Plus, the Deluxe Docks come standard with an awning that covers the majority of the deck area, but leaves a nice casting area for fishing.
What to expect when you order a Deluxe Steel-framed Floating Dock from Pond King
We build all of our docks to order, so we rarely have any "in-stock." When you are ready to order a Deluxe Steel-framed floating dock from Pond King, you can do so using our online "Dock Builder," or contact one of our experts who will work with you to make sure you are getting exactly the dock you want and need. We'll discuss the water elevation in your body of water, the installation site, and the entire installation process to make sure there aren't any surprises on delivery day.
Once I place an order for a Deluxe Steel-Framed Floating Dock, how long will it take to be delivered and installed?
Our docks are all made to order and our lead times vary depending on demand - but start at 4 weeks. Be sure to call for an ETA, especially if you are ordering between March and July. The steel-framed docks are built completely at our shop and then loaded onto a trailer and delivered and installed at your lake. Please call to get an estimated ship date before placing your order.
What is your service area?
We typically deliver and install our Deluxe Steel-Framed Docks within 500 miles of our location in Gainesville, TX – including into Oklahoma and Louisiana. If you need a dock and live outside our steel dock delivery service area, check out our aluminum floating docks or our dock kits which can be shipped nationwide
How are these docks delivered?
Because the Deluxe Steel-Framed docks are built up, in full, in our shop and then loaded onto a trailer pulled by a 4 x 4 pickup, they are always delivered and installed by Pond King. To get the dock into the water, our installers will back the trailer into the water and float the dock off - like you would unloading a boat. This is why we ask lots of questions about access to the installation site, and about the installation site itself.
Docks larger than 10’ x12’ require an oversized hauling permit and you’ll need to get a special quote for this. To see our per mile delivery rates, please see our Shipping FAQs.
All of our assembled floating docks are made to last using the highest quality materials. We use TimberTech Decking that won’t crack, split, splinter, or rot, carries a 25-year limited warranty, and is available in two color choices, Cedar or Grey. We use hot-dipped, galvanized fasteners, and other top-quality components allowing us to offer a 10-year warranty on all Pond King steel and aluminum frames and welds. The InsulBead Floats are all encapsulated polyethylene shell with UV inhibitors and carry their own warranty. We stand behind our product and the materials we use; sadly, if the damage is caused by acts of God, you'll have to take the matter up with him.
We intend for your family to enjoy your Pond King dock for years to come!
