As it has been for everyone, COVID-19 has been a rollercoaster ride here at Pond King. Since late March, we have been following Governor Abbott's lead and monitoring Dallas County as our standard for operations. Because of our pond management and fish stocking services, we were deemed essential. We have been extremely vigilant with our social distancing policies and procedures but is has meant a lot of changes.
From the first shelter in place order came down late in March until Texas entered phase 2 for re-opening, our manufacturing facility was operating in shifts, we provided all of our in-store services curbside, and our office staff were all sequestered from each other. While these efforts kept us safe, and able to keep coming to work, it cut our productivity nearly by half.
We had started to return to something a little more like normal when the second wave hit early in July and the Governor issued Executive Order 29. Since then, we've been working more regular hours, but still not business as usual. Everyone is required to wear masks; all work stations are disinfected daily; employees experiencing any COVID-like symptoms self-quarantine until they test negative for the virus.
Now, as always, your complete satisfaction is our priority. We have expanded the number of vendors from which we source materials so we can always have what we need to get the job done. We are working very hard to keep delivering quality products in a timely manner, while keeping our employees and their families healthy.
We are grateful that we have been able to remain open and serve our customers. And we appreciate your continued support and patience as we all work together to get to the otherside of COVID-19.
